What We Believe

The Bible:

We believe the Holy Bible is the spoken Word of God, fully inspired, without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of God, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of life, faith and human conduct.

The Trinity:

We believe that there is just one true and living God, existing in three co-equal eternally perfect persons, that have distinct, equal, and harmonious attributes that are at work in all of creation, providence, and redemption. The Triune God is as Follows:

  • God The Father

We believe in a personally infinite God that is a spirit; Father of all creation, perfect in holiness, wisdom, knowledge, power, and love. We believe that He hears and answers the believer’s prayers, the He offers eternal life to those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord.

  • God the Son

We Believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe he was conceived in human flesh by the Holy Spirit of God, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles and teachings. We believe in His personal death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate. We believe in His personal visible return to earth at the appointed time.

  • God the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father through His Son to convict the world of sin, manifest righteousness, and judgement. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and empowers every believer in Jesus with His abiding love, He is our helper, teacher, and guide.

The Creation of Man and Woman:

God created Adam, a man, in His own image. He then created from Adam, a woman. Eve compatible with him to be his helping partner and companion. God performed the very first marriage between the man and the woman. God instructed them to populate the earth with their own kind and to subdue the earth He created. Therefore, marriage is to be between one biologically born man and one biologically born woman, the family results from the birth of their children.

Salvation:

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice, therefore, they are under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace and cannot be earned through works.

The Church:

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, comprised of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and who assembles for worship, work, and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of taking and giving the gospel of Jesus Christ to their community and to a lost world.

Baptism:

We believe a person should be baptized after they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and by making a profession of faith by their own decision.  We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the triune God. We believe that parents should dedicate their children to God; for parents and the church are to raise the children as God has instructed.

Sanctity of Human Life:

We believe that all life is a gift from God, as one of His created beings, that life begins at conception and that God had ordained that child in the womb as one of His designed and created beings. We believe that God begins life and ends life on His terms, not ours. Therefore, we do not believe in abortion, suicide, or euthanasia, these are forms of death outside of God’s control.

+ + +

Hell and Heaven:

We believe there is a place known as Heaven as defined in the Bible (Genesis 1:1-2). We believe that people everywhere will be condemned for their sins, but will have an opportunity to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior during their earthly life. Those who accept God’s gift of salvation will spend life eternally in Heaven. The Bible also identifies a place for all those who have rejected the Gospel. They have rejected Jesus Christ as the sacrificial lamb for the eternal forgiveness of their sins against God to a place of eternal punishment known as hell. (Matthew 25:46, Revelation 20:11-15)

The Last Things:

We believe in the personal and visible return of Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the complete eternal happiness of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.
